Association of Michigan Basketmakers
AMB membership includes more than 1500 individuals from the United States in addition to Canada, Japan, and Russia. They create basketry from a wide variety of materials including reed, barks, wood splints, cane, waxed linen, beads, and gathered natural materials. AMB hosts the Michigan Convention each year, a gathering of all skill levels for the celebration of basketmaking.

John C. Campbell Folk School
John C. Campbell Folk School provides experiences in non-competitive learning and community life that are joyful and enlivening. Located in Brasstown, North Carolina, the Folk School offers year-round weeklong and weekend classes for adults in basketry, as well as many other mediums.

Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts
Arrowmont is a nationally renowned center of contemporary arts and crafts education. Workshops are offered for one and two weeks in the spring and summer, and one-week and weekends in the fall.
